San Francisco Fleet Week 2026
San Francisco Fleet Week 2026 runs October 4–12. The air show, headlined by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, flies October 9, 10 and 11 from noon to 4 PM over the Bay between the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Argonaut Hotel is on the Fisherman’s Wharf waterfront, a 5-minute walk from Aquatic Park, one of the city’s recommended viewing spots.

San Francisco’s Fleet Week (SFFW) takes place every October on the Marina Green. It has become a significant and integral part of the city’s local culture and economy with its air show, parade of ships and many community events.
Come celebrate those who serve and learn more about what they do, how they do it and how you can help. With free tours of ships, an air show, live music and great people, it’s always a good time.

San Francisco Fleet Week 2026 runs October 4 to 12. The air show flies on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 9, 10 and 11, from noon to 4 PM. The Parade of Ships is Friday, October 9, from 11 AM to noon. Fleet Week comes back to the Bay every October.
Yes, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels headline the 2026 San Francisco Fleet Week air show on October 9, 10 and 11. The lineup also includes the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor and U.S. Marine Corps F-35B demo teams, the Patriots Jet Team and a United Airlines 777 flyby. The Blue Angels did not fly in 2025, when a federal government shutdown paused military participation.
The Fleet Week air show runs from noon to 4 PM on October 9, 10 and 11, and the Blue Angels are the headline act. The organizer has not published a time for each performer, so plan to be in your spot by early afternoon. Check fleetweeksf.org on the day for updates, since fog can delay flying.
The best places to watch are along the northern waterfront, between the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Aquatic Park, a 5-minute walk from our front door, has grassy slopes facing the Bay. Fort Mason’s Great Meadow is about 15 minutes west on foot. Marina Green, the center of the show, is a 20 to 30 minute walk. Crissy Field and PIER 39 are good choices too.
Fisherman’s Wharf hosts Fleet Fest on October 10 and 11 at the SkyStar Wheel, with live music, military bands and exhibits, all free. It is under 10 minutes on foot from Argonaut Hotel. Military bands also play at Ghirardelli Square and PIER 39 earlier in the week, and Aquatic Park is a popular place to watch the air show.
Yes, most of Fleet Week is free, including general admission to the air show at Marina Green, the Parade of Ships, ship tours and Fleet Fest at Fisherman’s Wharf. Reserved air show seating is sold through fleetweeksf.org. Bay cruises during the air show are ticketed by the boat operators.
Fleet Week ship tours are at Piers 27 and 35 on the Embarcadero, and they are free. In 2026 they run October 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12, most days from 10 AM to 4 PM. Guests 18 and older need government-issued ID. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring a small bag only. Pier 35 is about a 20-minute walk from the hotel.
Stay on the northern waterfront, at Fisherman’s Wharf or in the Marina, to walk to the air show and skip the traffic. Argonaut Hotel is at 495 Jefferson Street on Fisherman’s Wharf, a 5-minute walk from Aquatic Park and under 10 minutes from Fleet Fest. Valet parking includes in-and-out privileges, a one-hour bike rental comes with the guest amenities fee, and dogs are welcome.
Walk, bike or take transit: Fleet Week’s organizers recommend public transportation because waterfront traffic and parking fill up early. From Argonaut Hotel, Aquatic Park, Fleet Fest and Ghirardelli Square are all within a 10-minute walk. The Powell-Hyde cable car stops at Hyde and Beach, close by. Marina Green is about 10 minutes by bike along the waterfront path.
